Dr John Teh MBBS

University of Queensland 1999 - Medical Director, Clinician and Clinical Educator

As the Medical Director and Educator of PlantMed Clinic, Dr Teh has been working within industry since medical legalisation in  Australia since February 2016. Prior to this, he worked in the surgical industry for 15 years.

As an avid organic farmer and permaculture expert, treatment with natural whole plant products, in conjunction with conventional medical treatment, has always been a top personal priority for Dr Teh.

Dr Teh has a passion for education and gives lectures  to both medical professionals and patients. He has vast experience treating a variety of patients conditions, with a particular interest in treatment of the paediatric population.

Dr Cornelius Finlay van Dorp

Dr. Cornelius Finlay Van Dorp is a seasoned medical professional with over 40 years of experience across various medical fields. Trained at Auckland Medical School in New Zealand, he began his career as a ship’s doctor for Greenpeace, including an overwintering assignment in Antarctica in 1987. After five years with Greenpeace, he transitioned to General Practice and Rural Hospital Emergency Medicine. Over the years, he has studied and practiced a wide range of herbal and nutritional medicine. For the past three years, he has focused on Cannabinoid Medicine, working at the PlantMed Clinic in Brisbane.

Dr Vinod Prasad

Dr Vinod Prasad is a compassionate GP with a diverse medical background. After completing his Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery in Fiji, he moved to Australia in 2003. He gained extensive hospital experience across various specialties, including Emergency, ICU, Surgery, Paediatrics, and Obstetrics & Gynaecology, and served as Senior Medical Officer at Beaudesert Hospital for two years.

Since 2017, Dr Prasad has been practising as a GP, bringing a holistic and empathetic approach to patient care. At PlantMed, he combines his broad medical expertise with a commitment to personalised care, guiding patients through tailored medical cannabis therapies. He is an Authorised Prescriber, a member of the Australian & New Zealand College of Cannabinoid Practitioners (ANZCCP), and also holds a Diploma of Counselling, further enhancing his patient-centred approach.

Outside of medicine, Dr Prasad enjoys travelling and sports, embracing a balanced and active lifestyle.

Dr Latif Salifu

Dr Latif Salifu is a medical practitioner with extensive experience across internal medicine, emergency medicine, and radiology, gained in Australia and Ghana. He also holds a Master of Public Health (Biostatistics & Epidemiology), bringing a strong evidence-based, outcomes-focused approach to patient care.

At PlantMed, Dr Salifu integrates his diagnostic background with natural plant medicine to provide safe and personalised therapies, particularly for patients with complex, multi-system conditions. He remains deeply committed to clinical quality improvement and empowering patients through education.

Dr Arvin Selvananthan 

Canadian-born and Australian-trained at James Cook University, Dr. Selvananthan has a background in rural and remote medicine, bringing a compassionate and holistic approach to patient care. Passionate about natural therapies and lifestyle changes, he focuses on helping patients incorporate medical cannabis as part of a balanced and positive lifestyle. Outside the clinic, Dr. Selvananthan enjoys cooking, creating meals that reflect his commitment to wellness and creativity.

Dr Alison Williams

Dr. Alison Williams hails from Adelaide, Australia, where she completed her medical degree at the University of Adelaide in 1988, marking the beginning of her distinguished career in general practice.
Her professional journey is characterized by a holistic approach to healthcare, emphasizing the interconnectedness of physical, mental, and emotional wellness. Dr. Williams has dedicated herself to providing comprehensive care, drawing on her vast experience in clinical settings and academia to meet the unique needs of each patient.
Beyond her medical endeavors, Dr. Williams enjoys a life filled with activities that mirror her holistic health philosophy. Gardening, practicing yoga, and taking leisurely walks with her dogs are among her favorite pursuits, enriching her personal well-being and reinforcing her commitment to achieving balance and harmony in life and health.

Dr Mohamed Haikal Johari

Dr Mohamed Haikal Johari is a medical professional who studied MBBS at UQ. He has primarily worked in critical care, with a focus on ICU and Anaesthetics. During this period, he also collaborated with the acute pain team. Although he has worked in critical care, Dr Johari has plans to pursue GP training in the future. Apart from his medical career, Dr Johari has a keen interest in rock climbing. In fact, his life seems to revolve around this activity. He enjoys the physical challenge and adventure that rock climbing provides. Dr Mohamed Haikal Johari is a dedicated medical professional who has a passion for providing excellent care to his patients. He is also someone who enjoys pushing himself beyond his comfort zone through his love of rock climbing.

Dr Mathew Cetin

Dr Matt has completed dual degrees with honours in both Medicine and Clinical Sciences (Cardiovascular Medicine) in the United Kingdom at the University of Leeds.
After working in the UK healthcare system for many years across a wide range of specialities, he moved to Australia to advance his career abroad.
Dr Matt is a conscientious and caring doctor who goes the extra mile for his patients. In his free time, he enjoys adventurous weekends in nature – playing tennis, snowboarding, and spending time with his family and friends.

Dr Moira West

Dr Moira West is a dedicated doctor who is passionate about plant-based medicine and the therapeutic benefits of medicinal cannabis. She has extensive experience in the field of complex and chronic disease, with over a decade of clinical practice in general medicine, geriatrics, and rehabilitation in the public hospital system.

Dr West is currently completing a fellowship with the Australian College of Nutritional and Environmental Medicine, where she is learning how evidence-based complementary therapies can support patients on their wellness journey. In addition to her work at PlantMed in Brisbane, she frequently travels from her home in Hobart for her work with the clinic.

Dr Built Amporndanai

Dr Built Amporndanai was born and raised in Bangkok, Thailand. In 2007, she moved to Australia, where she completed her Bachelor of Biomedicine at the University of Melbourne and her MBBS at the University of Queensland.

Dr Built is passionate about practising a holistic approach to patient care, with a particular emphasis on mental health. Outside of her work, Dr Built loves to dine at different spots and go on adventures in search of hidden gems.

Dr Rebecca Olivo

Dr Rebecca was born and raised in Niagara Falls, Canada. She attended Western University, where she completed an Honours Bachelor of Science degree in 2013 with a specialisation in Human Genetics.

She then decided to trade in her ice hockey skates and move to sunny Brisbane, where she completed her medical training at The University of Queensland.

Dr Rebecca earned her MBBS degree in 2017, going on to spend the last 4 years working at Queensland Health. Her medical experience is primarily in the field of obstetrics & gynaecology, but she has also worked in general medicine, paediatrics, and mental health. She has a particular interest in women’s health and treating anxiety.

Dr Rohan Reddy

Dr Reddy completed his dual degree in medicine and biomedical science at the University of Queensland. He then completed his hospital training at Sunshine Coast University Hospital with a special interest in pain medicine. After a period of working in Sydney as a Home GP, Dr Reddy has returned to Brisbane to join the team at PlantMed and further his interest in cannabinoid medicine. Dr Reddy is a compassionate and caring doctor with a particular interest in pain management and treating inflammatory diseases. In his spare time, he enjoys skiing, mountain biking and spending time with his young family.
