Dr John Teh MBBS

University of Queensland 1999 - Medical Director, Cannabinoid Clinician and Clinical Educator

Dr John Teh

As the Medical Director and Educator of PlantMed Medical Cannabis Clinic, Dr Teh has been working within the medicinal cannabis industry since the legalisation of cannabis for medicinal use across Australia in February 2016. Prior to this, he worked in the surgical industry for 15 years.

As an avid organic farmer and permaculture expert, treatment with natural whole plant products in conjunction with conventional medical treatment has always been a top personal priority for Dr Teh.

Dr Teh has a passion for cannabis education and gives lectures in the areas of medical cannabis to both medico’s and patients. He has vast experience treating a variety of patients with medical cannabis, with a particular interest in treatment of the paediatric population.

Dr Teh has prescribed medical cannabis for thousands of Australian patients. He is a sought-after speaker in Australia and overseas.

Chloe is passionate about providing a high-quality service and experience for all PlantMed patients. She takes an interest in health nutrition, animal and climate wellbeing, along with integrated health practices that take advantage of the benefits of plant medicines.

Her background in operations management and medical/surgical/veterinary service development allows her to create positive environments and effective systems that support her patients, carers, referring doctors and team.

In addition, Chloe’s extensive experience in media, television and event management have given her the skills she needs to host PlantMed’s educational events and promote the clinic’s endeavours in the community.

Dr Reddy completed his dual degree in medicine and biomedical science at the University of Queensland. He then completed his hospital training at Sunshine Coast University Hospital with a special interest in pain medicine.

After a period of working in Sydney as a Home GP, Dr Reddy has returned to Brisbane to join the team at PlantMed and further his interest in cannabinoid medicine.

Dr Reddy is a compassionate and caring doctor with a particular interest in pain management and treating inflammatory diseases.
In his spare time, he enjoys skiing, mountain biking and spending time with his young family.

Leanne joined the team from a background of large scale project and staff management.
Leanne works closely all our PlantMed doctors to ensure a smooth running of scheduling and day to day management our doctors patient loads.

Leanne sees and hears daily the positive outcomes of medical cannabis on patients and finds her role within Plantmed very rewarding, you will speak with Leanne when booking your appointment to see your Doctor.

Dr Jason Kovan-Boss

B.Sc. , B.Teach,. M.A,. MBBS. FRACGP

Dr Jason has been a lifelong learner with degrees in Science and Arts prior to completing his medical degree and GP training. He has completed and fellowed with the RACGP college of GP’s, and is an active member of the ANZCCP – Australia & NZ College of Cannabinoid Practitioners. 

Dr Jason has a focus on women’s health, and is interested in the current research at Western Sydney University into cannabinoids and endometriosis. 

He has broad experience in treating a range of conditions from a medical cannabis perspective, and with the whole patient approach offered at Plantmed he always strives for results and improvement to the quality of life for his patients. He helps patients navigate their health journey toward greater wellbeing. 

Dr. Cheyne Mitchell

Dr. Cheyne Mitchell
Initially a microbiologist training at the University of Sydney, Dr. Cheyne Mitchell quickly went on to complete his medical training at the University of Queensland. Cheyne worked within Queensland Health for over ten years, where he rotated through multiple medical and critical care specialties.
 
Having spent the last five years working primarily in the field of anaesthetic medicine, he has particular experience in the holistic management of chronic pain conditions.
 
Dr. Cheyne Mitchell

Dr Rebecca Olivo

Dr Rebecca was born and raised in Niagara Falls, Canada. She attended Western University, where she completed an Honours Bachelor of Science degree in 2013 with a specialisation in Human Genetics.

then decided to trade in her ice hockey skates and move to sunny Brisbane, where she completed her medical training at
The University of Queensland.

Dr Rebecca earned her MBBS degree in 2017, going on to spend the last 4 years working at Queensland Health.
Her medical experience is primarily in the field of obstetrics & gynaecology, but she has also worked in general medicine, paediatrics, and mental health. She has a particular interest in women’s health and treating anxiety.

Dr Built Amporndanai

Dr Built Amporndanai was born and raised in Bangkok, Thailand.
In 2007, she moved to Australia, where she completed her Bachelor of Biomedicine at the University of Melbourne and her MBBS at the University of Queensland.

Dr Built is passionate about practising a holistic approach to patient care, with a particular emphasis on mental health.

Outside of her work, Dr Built loves to dine at different spots and go on adventures in search of hidden gems.

Dr. Moira West

Dr. Moira West is a dedicated doctor who is passionate about plant-based medicine and the therapeutic benefits of medicinal cannabis. She has extensive experience in the field of complex and chronic disease, with over a decade of clinical practice in general medicine, geriatrics, and rehabilitation in the public hospital system.

Dr. West is currently completing a fellowship with the Australian College of Nutritional and Environmental Medicine, where she is learning about how evidence-based complementary therapies can support patients on their wellness journey. In addition to her work at PlantMed in Brisbane, she frequently travels from her home in Hobart for her work with the clinic.

When she is not working, Dr. West enjoys spending time in Tasmania with her young family and French bulldog. She enjoys hobbies such as gardening and caring for her chickens, as well as exploring the natural beauty of the region.

Dr Mathew Cetin

Dr Matt has completed dual degrees with honours in both Medicine and Clinical Sciences (Cardiovascular Medicine) in the
United Kingdom at the University of Leeds.

After working in the UK healthcare system for many years across a wide range of specialities, he moved to Australia to advance his career abroad.

Dr Matt is a conscientious and caring doctor who goes the extra mile for his patients. In his free time, he enjoys adventurous weekends in nature – playing tennis, snowboarding, and spending time with his family and friends.

Dr Sanjee Xavier

Dr Xavier is a New Zealand trained doctor who completed his
GP training in Western Australia. 

He has experience with addiction medicine, psychiatry, and has more recently entered into integrative and functional medicine.

Dr Sanjee Xavier believes that optimal health always involves solid foundations – including sleep, nutrition, breath, movement and consciousness – within a happy and healthy environment. 

Dr Xavier is fascinated by off-grid living, composting, and cultivating his own thriving plants. He has a daily yoga practice that incorporates breathwork, meditation, and chanting.

Dr Cornelius Van Dorp has a background of 36 years as a GP and Rural Hospital Medicine Specialist. He has a long-time interest in plant-based medicine and is delighted to now be working with this amazing healing plant and the team at PlantMed.

Plantmed work in conjunction with a patients treating specialist, GP, allied health or natural health practitioner. We have an online referral submission for easy referring of your patients and being kept up to date with treatment progress. 

We have a friendly and dedicated administration team that assist our Doctors to ensure a strong clinical outcome and fast and efficient management of patient administration
